The Toyota Prius is one of the world’s leading Hybrid vehicles with up to an EPA-estimated 58 MPG city, 53 highway, and 56 combined EPA-estimated mpg (L Eco grade.) In addition, the Prius includes a segment-exclusive AWD-e model, featuring an electronic all-wheel drive system which, at speeds up to 43mph, helps give drivers more control when weather and road conditions are less than ideal.

This version of Prius is built around the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), a platform that integrates a high-strength body structure, multi-link rear suspension and a low center of gravity. TNGA gives Prius a highly engaging driving character combined with a quiet cabin and a smooth ride.

2020 Prius models will now come equipped with Toyota Safety Connect standard and upgraded audio with Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa compatibility. The Toyota Safety Connect system, which includes Emergency Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Roadside Assistance and Automatic Collision Notification, comes with a complimentary three-year trial subscription.

The current, fourth-generation Prius continues to be a leader in the hybrid world. Its Hybrid Synergy Drive system combines the output of a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and two motor-generators through an electronically controlled planetary-type continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Coordinating control between the regenerative braking and the vehicle’s hydraulic brake force to provide brake performance is the Electronically Controlled Brake System. The gasoline engine is highly efficiency thanks to ultra-low internal friction and efficient combustion. It exceeds 40 percent thermal efficiency, which is among the highest in the world for a gasoline engine.

The Prius, which was introduced more than 20 years ago, was the world’s first mass-produced hybrid model and is one of the world’s best-selling hybrids. Toyota produces more hybrid models than any other carmaker in the United States.
