The 2013 Toyota Tacoma has many exciting new features for the new model year, building on the already fantastic characteristics that have been carried over.
This midsize pickup truck is available in three cab styles: regular cab, Access cab, and Double cab. The Regular and Access cab come with six foot beds while Double Cab can be had with either a five or six foot bed.
The base model has a 159-horsepower, 2.7-liter four cylinder engine with dual overhead shafts that makes 180 pound-feet of torque. However, upgraded models boats a 236-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine and 266 pound-feet of torque. Drivers have the choice between manual or automatic transmission for both engines. Automatic limited-slip differential is standard on all 2013 Toyota Tacomas as well.
New features for 2013 include daytime running lights and an available display audio system with the Entune multimedia system. A new Limited Package offers faux leather, heated front seats, and a leather wrapped-steering wheel with audio controls. 18-inch chrome wheels, grille, and rear bumper are also included in this package.
Previous model years have earned such accolades as a "2012 Best Family Car" and being named one of the "Best Pickups in America", and the 2013 Toyota Tacamo will continue this strong line of tradition. It is known for its strong towing capability, especially with the V6 engine, which has led to it being the most popular midsize pickup truck for several years. With the different engine, cab, and bed choices, there's sure to be one to please even the pickiest driver.
