The 2013 Toyota Rav4 goes through quite
an exterior change for the new model year and stays relevant in the
heavily competitive crossover market. Cosmetic changes include a
smoother front end, a steeper windshield, and the absence of the
traditional Toyota Rav4's exterior mounted spare tire.
The 2013 Toyota Rav4 is available in three trims: Base, Sport,
and Limited. The Sport trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels and sport-tuned
suspension. An available Appearance Package also adds a little fun to
this trim with a unique rear door, stainless steel exhaust tips, heated
outside mirrors with turn-signal indicators, and chrome accents. The
highest level Limited adds interior features like dual-zone climate
control and exterior touches like larger wheels and halogen headlamps.
Daytime running lights, an additional cargo carrying area, and a
navigation system are all optional.
For the 2013 model year, Toyota adds more airbags for a total
of eight standard airbags. Other safety features include handsfree
Bluetooth® phone connectivity and a rearview camera. Blind Spot
monitoring and cross-traffic alerts are available with the 2013 Toyota
Rav4 Limited.
Growing on its rich history, the current Toyota Rav4 offers a
four cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V6 that pumps out 269 horsepower.
Buyers are given a choice between all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive.
A third row of seats are available for those needing extra passenger
capacities.
