2012 Toyota Camry

Toyota is well-known for enhancing their long-serving models to accommodate buying trends. For 2012, Toyota has updated the 2012 Toyota Camry with an assortment of improvements for this legendary vehicle.


In 2012, the Camry has re-emerged as a four-door sedan with a roomy interior. Trim packages include their top-of-the-line XLE model, plus the LE and SE trims. The wider frame and longer wheelbase add extra cabin space for greater passenger comfort. The new aerodynamic design keeps the Camry looking sleek. The four cylinder, 2.5 liter, dual-overhead camshaft engine peaks out at 169 horsepower. An optional 268 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 is also available. A six-speed manual transmission with front-wheel drive makes it fun to drive the four-cylinder model. The V6 engine will be armed with a six-speed automatic transmission. The four-cylinder engine gets an incredible 34 miles per gallon on the highway and 33 in the city. That's a big part of the Camry's charm.


Power windows, power locks, an adjustable driver's seat, air conditioning and power mirrors are standard across all trim lines. The audio controls are right at hand on the adjustable tilted steering wheel. Reclining rear seatbacks enhance passenger comfort; split-folding rear-seatbacks add more cargo space.


 

All the high-tech goodies are included, like USB docks for MP3 players plus BlueTooth wireless. Keyless entry, a moonroof, touch-screen navigation system, leather upholstery, power sunroof, remote engine start and heated front seats are standard or optional, depending on trim level.


Safety features are also included throughout the 2012 Camry. A fuel override system shuts down the gas supply if the brakes and accelerator are pushed simultaneously. An antiskid braking system, cruise control, stability control and traction control are just the beginning of the safety features.  And Anti-lock disc brakes round out Toyota's new Star Safety System.
